Meet Joe and Amanda Trattner
At One Love Charters, it’s more about the journey than the destination. Owners Joe and Amanda Trattner are self-proclaimed travelers who moved from the mainland in search of adventure and new opportunities. They’ve embraced the local way of life and discovered the amazing destinations that the British and U.S. Virgin Islands have to offer. Joe and Amanda are passionate about these islands and want to share their expertise with you during your travels. By the end of your day with us, you’ll have memories to last a lifetime.
When renting our boat for the day it means that you get to do what you want, when you want without anyone telling you it’s time to leave b/c you have to stay on schedule. If you’d like to experience all the beautiful destinations advertised in tourism magazines, we’ll accomodate you, and make sure you never feel rushed. If you’d like to check out some off the beaten path destinations that takes a seasoned local years of living here to discover, then we’d be happy to guide you there as well. No matter what floats your boat, you’ll know that once you step foot on ours, that the day is going to be all about you. At One Love Charters it’s your world, your way!

Joe Trattner
Joe’s path to the charter business is filled with excitement and adventure. After earning a business marketing degree from Northern Illinois University in 2007, he spent three years as a corporate recruiter. Seeking more thrill, Joe moved to the Virgin Islands and joined a 65’ sailing catamaran as a crew member, reigniting his passion for adventure.
In the islands, he met Amanda, and they soon married and started One Love Charters together. Joe, a licensed captain and CPR-certified, is deeply passionate about boating in the Virgin Islands. He loves sharing the beauty of the islands with guests and finds his work incredibly rewarding and fun. Besides captaining charters, Joe manages other captains, ensuring they share his dedication and expertise.
Amanda Trattner
Landon D. Jensen
Landon, born on June 18, 1984, in Seattle, Washington, is an adventurous captain known as “Sky Fly” for introducing water jetpacks to the Caribbean. He is the first in his family to earn a U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license, inspired by his father, Jeff Jensen, author of “What a Hoot, Let’s Recruit.”
Starting his maritime career in Alaska, Landon fished for halibut and salmon aboard the “Provider.” At One Love Charters, he explores secret beaches, leads fun snorkeling adventures, and takes guests to the best local spots. His love for the sea and friendly nature ensure a memorable charter. Landon believes in the healing power of the sea, saying, “The cure for anything is saltwater – sweat, tears, or the sea.” Let him share his passion for an unforgettable day on the water.
Fun fact: Joe and Amanda are converting an old school bus into an eco-friendly tiny home, which they plan to park on St. Thomas.

Trip #1: Jost Van Dyke Adventure
Owners Joe and Amanda Trattner cherish Jost Van Dyke, where they got married in March 2013. This island is a hidden gem with no hotels, chain restaurants, or many cars, preserving its quaint, local charm.

We went out for a full day in USVI. Our captain, Dominic, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. He really cared about us having a good time. We stopped at some beautiful beaches, swam with turtles, snorkeled, and even had fresh pizza made on a boat (and delivered by boat) in one of the bays. Dominic’s boat was nice, new, and safe – it even had Bluetooth and Dominic let us play our own music. He had extra snorkel gear and drinking water available, too.
